Unit3 E-portfolio Post 7 PostMortem
Group 4 Unit 3 Post Mortem
Our game is called Murder Mystery and it is a competitive and strategic game of saving or killing hostages within the house. It is about a murder having captured 9 hostages and he is trying to kill all of them in the house. The detective come and tries to save as many as he can. the way to win is whoever can save or kill 5 or more hostages wins the game.
This game is targeted to individuals around ages 17 and up. this is targeted to people who like strategic and mystery type games and it targeted to competitive type players who can strategize a way to win the game.
what we have completed is having 8 player boards (2 maps with each map being composed of 2 player boards), one spinner, and a RNG game assets placer. the spinner is to move the player. and the RNG placer is to place the game pieces.
Before the game was going to be on a 10x10 grid and that is the play area but now the game has there own maps. the other thing that change is that change is that there was 2 spinners that were different depending on the role but now the game has one for all.
The problem that we had during the entire development prosses is that our rulesheet was a bit confusing to understand. for most critiques we had we had that same topic come up. I feel that we put to much necessary information about our game since it has a 15 <=>playtime. To be honest I felt we did not get much good critiques because not many people read the rule sheet completely.
the thing that we could have done to fix this problem is to have simplified our game to have a lower play time and scope to have people have players to have fun quickly rather than having to read to much before hand.
