Rule Sheet for Modded Solitaire Game
For the first rule sheet we didn't really have the information on the modding of the game of solitaire. what we did was rewrite the rules so it is easier to understand without changing the game or modding the game. However, once we go the information our group started on this modded game of solitaire. We looked at the original game of solitaire as shown below.
Game summery:
For the game modifications we made our game is meant for mostly all ages. This game is a puzzle game in which one has to order the cards from highest to lowest in the game area but in the build piles is from lowest to highest. The cards in the game area must be order by descending rank but in opposite color. In the build piles it must ordered by the same suits and ascending rank.
Development:
Once we saw and played the game of solitaire we came up with the idea for changing the number of uncovered cards to be like spider solitaire. we decided that we would have 4 cards face down and one faced up. however when testing it I mostly had games that ended with it being unsolvable so we decided to cut one pile. Now we have the set up of 6 piles of 5 cards with 4 faced down and 1 faced up. As shown below. However, to really put a twist on this game we change how the build piles (the ace piles) are played. We change the type of cards that can go there. Rather than having aces placed there it would be kings as shown below.
Now the cards have to be arranged from lowest to highest and have to be a different color suit for every other card. We did testing on this version on the game. I did come to see in my testing that I did have some games be unsolvable but other games finished, so I did see it as a bit balanced with a good difficulty and stayed with the 15 min. time. it was more like a 60% stuck games and 40% solvable. There was not any problem to this game but its challenge. It still played like solitaire but some of the rules and the setup is different.
